About

Hi, I'm Louis Brookstein.

A Hertfordshire-based DJ who's been throwing unforgettable parties for over 16 years. I bring proper sound, tasteful lighting, and a well-read dancefloor to weddings, private parties and company events.

I play a wide range from the classic floor-fillers to funky house and disco that keep any audience going, and everything in between. I read the floor and play what works, guided by your must-plays and your do-not-plays.

I run a professional RCF sound system that delivers clean, clear and punchy sound. Whether it's background music over dinner or a packed floor at midnight. I'm dedicated to a reliable, professional and easy-to-work-with service, so you can relax and enjoy your event.

Where I play

Based in Hertfordshire, out across the South East.

Based in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire. Travel within 30 miles is included. Covering most of Hertfordshire, north and northwest London, and the edges of Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Essex.

Events further afield are warmly welcomed. Just ask for a quick quote.

Frequently asked questions.

The sooner the better. Especially for summer Saturdays and December dates, which go early. However, it's always worth asking about shorter notice.

No. I arrive early and set up before your guests arrive, and pack down afterwards. All outside your booked performance hours.

Absolutely. We'll plan your must-plays and do-not-plays in advance, and you're welcome to be as hands-on or hands-off as you like. On the night I'll read the floor and take requests where they fit, always keeping to your guidance.

A bit of space for the booth and speakers, and access to a couple of standard power sockets. I'll liaise with your venue on timings, access and any sound limits ahead of the day.

Yes. I carry full public liability insurance (PLI), and all equipment is PAT-tested. Certificates are available on request.

Yes. A deposit secures your date, with the balance due before the event. Full terms are confirmed when you book.

Yes. I'm happy to handle announcements, introductions, and coordinate key moments with your venue and other suppliers so the evening flows.

Very likely. I play across a wide range of styles and I'm always happy to prepare specific music for your event.
